What is Fooding?
Fooding is our made-up term that includes knowledge, behavior, and skills that are related or relevant in order for you to eat.
You need to eat every single day. One way or another, you are making decisions and doing tasks related to food every day. There was no fitting term, so a new word was created.
What is Fooding Every Day?
A food and nutrition education space to inspire you to take actions on your overdue lifestyle changes have been meaning to make.
Instead of focusing on learning to take in more information, learn to get inspired and let it click.
So, what's here?
-
Fooding posts — revisiting familiar nutrition and lifestyle topics from new angles, because sometimes a different perspective is what makes it click
-
Recipes — kept separate and organized on their own, so they're easy to find (not buried inside posts)
In the works:
-
Handouts and worksheets — hands-on tools to figure out your daily fooding
-
Fooding-related art — visual and tangible reminders of your fooding inspirations
-
Virtual workshops — various fooding topics live exploration with Kai
-
Individual 3-Day Food Log nutrient analysis — a snapshot review of your eating patterns
Why focus on inspiration?
Inspirations are interesting because they are not tangible nor always logical, yet they can push and make us do things. When inspiration hits you, you believe that you are capable to do that thing.
Browsing for inspiration means giving yourself a break from trying to reason with your brain. If something inspires you, you know what to do.
If you are stuck, try something different. Maybe an inspiration might be the click you've been looking for, rather than logic.

Sometimes you know too well that you need to make food, nutrition, and lifestyle changes for your health. But you feel stuck and “unmotivated”.
Learning more reasons, more explanations, and more consequences doesn’t help you go anywhere anymore. You just need that click in your brain.
If this resonates with you, Fooding Every Day is the place for you. Focus on getting inspired rather than more information.
The click is not always logical or directly related, but it just works for you at that time (IYKYK). Once you find the click, we know you know what to do.
And come back when you are stuck again! Our brains are just a little bit more high maintenance, and that’s okay.
Who is Behind Fooding Every Day

Kai Nemoto, MS, RD
I’m a Registered Dietitian and former hairstylist. I love to make things and DIY: cooking, baking, crafting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, beading, building.
I love food and talking about food and eating. I love learning about different cultures through their food and cooking.
I also love creating plans and making spreadsheets for everything. Ballet is my choice of exercise and have a love/hate relationship with Pilates.
I turned to food and nutrition as a foundation to cope and manage with my own health challenges with mental and physical health. Having more experience being a patient over a healthcare provider, I can translate scientific nutrition and medical concepts to patient/client-friendly terms and explanations.
Eating Healthier is a daunting project when you are coping every day. I hope to fill the gap of intention and action with nutrition awareness, knowledge, and skills - through inspirations.

Help fixing website errors
If you notice any website issues with links, descriptions, fonts, and layouts, please help fix it but letting us know.
Every feature you see on a website has been placed and connected intentionally. Setting up and maintaining them are tedious, but worth it. But it's so easy to get messed up.
Catching every domino effect result from making one small change is impossible and having second, third, and fourth eyes would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
